Sorry this is late but Agnes and I wish to offer our condolences. We used to live in Stoney Creek and met John at Tim Hortons and sat with him every Friday or Saturday when we went for our morning coffee. We have since moved to Brantford and with COVID we hadonly spoken to John on irrwgular intervals. We tried just today to set up a meeting for his birthday and found his number disconnected so did a search and found this Obituary. We are very saddened, he was a beautiful sole and we enjoyed his company.

My daughter Stefania already posted about her son being friends with John. He was always so nice to my grandson. Unfortunately because of Covid he hasn’t been able to see him. I on the other hand go to the drive thru at Tim’s every morning and we always waved to each other. Haven’t seen him in a few weeks and was hoping he was ok. This morning I opened an old newspaper that my cousin gave me for something and first thing I saw was a picture of John. This made me so sad. I just want you to know that your dad was a special person and he will be remembered! My condolences

My son and I used to frequent the Tim hortons that John was always at and him and my son formed a bond. My son would make him cards and draw him pictures and John would occasionally slip him a 5 dollar bill. When we left he always told my son “grandpa loves ya” . We are so sad we haven’t been able to see him in a while because of covid but my mother would drive by his car weekly and say hi. If any family members see this we would love to be in touch

I remember working with Papa John at ED Smith. He always had a kind word or hug for me when I needed it. He was the sweetest guy I will always remember his big smile. RIP Papa John. Big hugs!
