When I think of Aunt Mary, I smile. When I was a young girl, and we would visit with her and the family, we would see them at Gulliver’s Travels. She was always working, but would always take time for family. I loved to sit at the curved counter in the restaurant, and Aunt Mary would let me have anything I wanted.
She walked in grace, and dignity. I will remember her in a straight pencil skirt and blouse, with never a hair out of place. Always groomed and put together, with an impeccable taste for style and under stated elegance.
The world will remember Aunt Mary as a business owner, who worked tirelessly for her community and family. But her family will remember her as being their world.
She graced this earth for 100 years and left a little piece of herself in all of us. Now it is time for her to Rest In Peace. May her memory be a blessing to all of us.
