Obituary of Peter Tilstra

On Friday January 28th in his 89th year, the Lord called home His good and faithful servant Peter Tilstra. Predeceased by son George in 1967, Peter was the loving husband of Joyce (nee Dupon) for 61+ years. Peter will be dearly missed by children Don (Betty), Marion (Manda), and Dave (Cathy); grandchildren Justin, Keith (Caryn), Dan (Ariane), McKenzie and Natasha; and great-grandchildren Emerson, Gerrit, Mikaela, Natalie, Izaak and Tabatha. Peter faithfully served His Saviour with his whole heart. Whenever we hear organ music, have to do 6-digit multiplication, or need a good dose of wisdom, we will remember him. Friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Friday from 4-7 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at Fruitland Christian Reformed Church on Saturday, February 5, 2022 at 11 a.m. Private family interment. Please visit the Funeral Home website or call 905-662-2948 to register your attendance for visitation and funeral service.
