Please accept my deepest condolences on John's passing. I really enjoyed my time with your Dad at the bank and looked forward to dropping by the house to see your parents. He was so very proud of the entire family.

I haven't seen Mr Hough for quite some time, but the smile in the photograph made it instantly recognisable. He had a way of seeing joy with everything he did. As a young person, He taught me that every day deserves humour, and that a good laugh should be authentic and hearty.
I remember Mr Hough as an active parent, and his generosity was extended to every young person who walked through the door. He was never too busy to stop whatever he was doing, and offer a good story, a laugh, or some thoughtful advice.
He was so much more than a good man. He was one of the best. My thoughts are with all of you.

I was very sorry to hear of your father's/husband's passing. Through his printing business he became a good friend to my parents - George and Vera Papadopoulos. Known endearingly as "John the Printer" I remember him frequently dropping off "printing" for the various activities and organizations that my parents were involved in. He was always smiling, positive and kind. My father told me that he first met him in the mid 1960s! when his office was on James St. S. and your dad worked as printer in the medical building around the corner - a long time ago! Losing a parent is never easy - I hope you will find comfort in the many memories and knowing that your father touched many lives.

What a well-written tribute to a wonderful man who was difficult to capture in words. The photo of John brought a tear to my eye. His twinkle and loving spirit was captured in it. Deepest condolences to all who have a hole that his passing has left in their lives. I imagine that his friends and family that have predeceased him are super happy to have him by their sides. Thinking of you Brenda and Diane and of course your Mom during this most difficult time. Your Dad will be remembered so fondly for being such a wonderful husband, father and grandfather. Also give a hug for us to Kerala, Tosh and Evan. I still remember a few Stoney Creek Christmas parades when our kids were little ... always the reserved spots in from of your dad's print shop and some hot chocolate.
