My sincerest condolences to Frank's family. I worked with Frank in the Stoney Creek Building Department where he first picked up an Ontario Building Code! Frank was a friendly and knowledgeable fellow employee who got along well with everyone. I know he will surely be missed by his family and all who knew him. Rest In Peace Frank..., sadly, you have left us much too soon...

My sincere condolences to Frank's family at his passing.
Frank and I both started working in the Building Department at the Town of Oakville in 1989. He eventually became my Manager and, over the years, I sought out his OBC (and gardening) expertise many times. He was very knowledgeable (in both areas) and we had many pleasant conversations. We grew old together at the Town over 30+ years and I have fond memories of him. I'm glad he was able to enjoy a couple of years of retirement. I am deeply saddened at his passing. He is gone much too soon.

Joe, Jenny & Families: Please accept my condolences for the heartbreaking loss of your younger brother, he and you are in my prayers. I was shocked to hear of Frank’s passing from our mutual cousins Helen & Margie. Having known him when we were all kids, Frank always seemed to be smiling and happy with life; I don’t think that ever changed. May his soul Rest In Peace, and God’s perpetual light shine upon him. Sincerely, Diana Kastelic

My sincerest condolences to the entire Zabukovec family. I was truly shocked to hear the news earlier today. Not only was I a fellow colleague of his at the Town of Oakville, but he and I worked hand-in-hand over the years running the annual football pool for family an friends. I will really miss his friendship. Rest in peace Frank.

Frank brought many of us in the Oakville Building crew together. He was a staple in our daily lives for many years. I am thankful for the memories and opportunities he helped to provide me. It was only a short while ago we were celebrating his retirement, where he was looking forward to spending his days at the trailer rather than the office. Many memories over the 15 years I worked with him. Frank, you will not be forgotten for the role you were in many of our lives. Rest in peace.

I worked with Frank at the Town of Oakville and always enjoyed our talks about current affairs and sports. Was a genuine soft spoken man with a sense of pride in his work. Really sad to hear that Cancer has taken another one. Cheers my friend.

Frank, was the most kind hearted man I’ve ever met. The kind of man that would go out of his way to make another person happy and smile. Frank would give a helping hand whenever needed. Frank was the life of the party. The park will never be the same without you and your Slo Park family will miss you so much. Gone but NEVER forgotten brother. Rest In Peace buddy.

"I am a nurse at Oakville Hospital and worked with Frank a lot during his stay with us. He touched many of us on the unit.
He had a notebook that he was asking staff to sign before his first discharge. I mentioned how nicely the pen he lent me wrote. He insisted I keep it. I got the sense that was how Frank operated in life. It was just a pen but the gesture was so kind and thoughtful.
Very sad to hear of his passing. Far too young.
Condolences to his family and friends."

Lost one of my best friends....the park won't be the same without you. If you had the privilege of knowing Frank his kindness and easy going nature is what made him special... he was the kind of man who would give the shirt off his back. Rest peacefully my friend....and I'll keep making your famous strawberry shot in your honour.

Frank definitely was one of the greatest guys out there. Always a friendly greeting, warm smile, and a desire to help whoever/wherever he could. He will be greatly missed by everyone at Slovenski Park where he always worked a labour of love to keep the grounds looking their best. Rest In Peace Frankie
