I am so saddened to hear about John passing away. He was always smiling and good for either listening to a good story and telling them in return. John was willing to give advice when called upon and rarely lead you down the wrong path. I will miss my weekly chats whenever I would run into him and Cindy.

My condolences to John's family. I worked often with John, arranging vehicle training for our staff. He was truly a joy to be around. Despite the things that would normally get a person down, John was always cheerful with a laissez-faire attitude. RIP John. You were one of the good ones.

Cindy, Travis, Jamie Lynn...my gosh I am heartbroken for you to hear of John’s passing. One of my favourite team mates of all time, so wise when it came to the game of baseball and always offering everyone around him encouragement, when he wasn't just leading by example on the field. So many fond memories and Karen and I were just reminiscing about John last week.

How saddened we were to learn of your passing. I have so many memories of your sports stories and achievements.
Well, the third period is about to start and the game is tied. Hop on the ice and play your heart out. The game only ends when you want it to.

Dear Cindy and family,
I'm so sorry to see John has passed. Every morning on our walk to school John was there with a smile and a friendly hello. I often admired his care for Chloe, always following her around while she rode her bike or went to the park. He was (is) and amazing grand father and my deepest sympathies to all of you. What a great loss to you, our neighbourhood and to his friends. An amazing, kind, wonderful man who I could see had a heart of gold. Rest in Peace dear John. We will miss you so very much.

We met John when Rick began playing with the Ancaster Vets Slo-Pitch league in 2002. At that time, John was one of the league’s premier players. An unfortunate accident resulted in the loss of one of his legs, but did not keep him down for long. Not one for quitting, his exceptional enthusiasm for life, the game and our league kept John playing and then in 2012 he became a manager.
We have had the pleasure of playing with and against John over the last 20 years. Always positive and gracious as a winner or when coming in second, it was a pleasure to be associated with him. We will miss him.
