Obituary of Stevan Zivkovic
Peacefully, on Friday, July 1, 2022 at the age of 88. Beloved husband of Anka for 60 years. Devoted Tata (father) of Nada (Zoran) Knezevic and Branko (Danijela) Zivkovic. Cherished Deda (grandfather) of Dejan, Nikolas, Luka and Alek. Survived by his dear brother Mirko (Desanka) Zivkovic of Hamilton and sister Milka (Dragan) Novakovic in Germany. Predeceased by his brother Branko (Danica) Zivkovic of Serbia. He will be deeply missed by his many Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and their families, Kumovi and Friends in Canada, Serbia and Germany. Special thanks to the staff of Pine Villa Care Centre for their care and compassion over the last few months, to Dr. Vesna Page for her support during Tata’s last few years and to all of the truly extraordinary personal support workers who made it possible for us to keep our beloved Tata in his own home for as long as we did. Stevan was a lifelong employee of Dofasco and took early retirement in 1992 just in time for the arrival of his first grandson. With loving hands, he helped raise all 4 of his grandsons to become the adults that he was so proud of. Tata/Deda, you will always be with us, like a handprint on our hearts. WE LOVE YOU. Friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. Pomen at 7:30 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at St. Nicholas Serbian Orthodox Cathedral, 149 Nash Rd. S., Hamilton on Wednesday, July 6, 2022 at 11 a.m. with The Very Reverend Father Djuro Samac officiating. Interment to follow at Mountview Gardens Cemetery.
