Dear Len, Renee &Rich, Greg and family,
Curtis and I are so sorry for your loss.
I think my friendship, with Joan, really developed when your family moved back to Wpg in ‘85 and you became involved at Kilcona.
It was such a joy to sing with Joan and Susan in our trio, Praise 3. We had so many laughs when practicing too!
Joan’s creativity was evident when I think of Norris Country Inn in December and the Ladies Tea in May.
Joan had a way of getting people involved and even had me selling Poinsettias for Variety Club in the Mall!
How sweet was our weekly prayer time together when we prayed for our families.
So many wonderful memories which I shall cherish forever.
Thanks for all the encouragement over the years.
You were so loved and will be missed but we will see you again.
Your friend always,
Carolyn Johnson

Dear Len and family, Joan was amazing! She loved the Lord and loved to share him with others through sharing her story. Her involvement with Stonecroft/RSVP had a huge impact on many people including me. She had a kind, beautiful, and loving spirit. She was a great help and inspiration to me. I'm sure she will hear well done my good and faithful servant. Thinking of you and praying for comfort.

To Len and family. I remember the times you and Joan visited Gloria and I in the Okanagan. I always enjoyed Joan's music and she played the piano with feeling and emotion. Although this is an earthly loss, Joan is rejoicing in her new home with her heavenly father and those loved ones who have gone before .

Len, Renee and Rich, Greg, and family,
Susan and I would like to express our most sincere condolences on the passing of Joan.
We remember her active involvement at Kilcona Park Alliance Church for so many years. She was a lady of seemingly endless energy!! Her passion for music came through loud and clear. She was so proficient at the piano, in the choir and in trio presentations with Carolyn and Susan, too numerous to count. We remember her involvement also with Alliance Women, urging on the ladies in their walk with God. And then there were the Christmas parties at her home where the joy of Christmas really shone through. Joan lived life to the full and lived it for God. She was truly a blessing to so many people. Death is always difficult, and yet, for the child of God, it surely is but a gateway to an unimaginable paradise. May God comfort you all with His presence at this time of sorrow. Soon and very soon, we will all surely meet again.

I have Happy memories of Joan at Rexdale Alliance Church, she was always involved in the office and music. One funny memory I have of Joan was showing up at a wedding not sure if it was Lori Atherton's wedding, we had the same dress on and then Mrs Ingram came in and sat at the back she had the same dress on and went home and changed. Joan was playing the organ and got a real laugh out of the situation. She said we had good taste! She was always cheerful loving and kind. Condolences to Len and Family.

Your mom will always hold a special place in my heart bc she and your dad were kind enough to lug me to Sunday School at Rexdale Alliance each week with you Renee. It's bc of this that I met my Saviour at the tender age of 11. God used her mightily in my life. A small gesture perhaps to her at the time, but a lifelong impact for me. No doubt she's rejoicing in heaven now! Blessings as you mourn her earthly separation.

I was lucky enough to work with Joan at Variety, the Children's Charity of Manitoba. She was an inspiration to me - dedicated, hard-working, and an example of living one's faith.
I know how much Joan loved her family, and my heart goes out to you all. Please know that I am thinking of you, and remembering you in my prayers.

I will never forget my dear friend Joan. Even though I was in a wheelchair and with speech that was hard to understand she came to me introduced herself and from then on we had a beautiful friendship. I will cherish the memories of our tea times, our sharing times, our fun times. And the Christmas carols sing song with Len & Joan was such a good time. We pray for Len, Renee and family and Greg during this hard time that you would feel the arms of Jesus around you. Doug & Sandra
