Obituary of Betty Rhodes

Betty Rhodes, 89 of Stoney Creek, Ontario passed away peacefully at Old Colony Hospital on Wednesday, July 27, 2022, following a brave battle with cancer. Betty was born on September 11, 1932 in Batley Yorkshire England. It was in Yorkshire where she met her beloved husband of 62 years, Stewart Rhodes. Shortly after getting married, Betty and Stewart took the brave step to migrate to Canada where they built a beautiful home and foundation for themselves. Stewart predeceased Betty in January 2015. Betty and Stewart are survived by their 2 boys Malcolm Rhodes (Rhea predeceased), Gregory Rhodes (Marisa) and their 3 grandkids Stewart Rhodes, Willy Rhodes, Nicholas Rhodes as well as their 4 great-grandchildren (Joshua Rhodes, Ryder Rhodes, Sady Rhodes, and Brooklyn Rhodes). Betty is survived by her sister-in-law Rosemary Rhodes (Randolph predeceased), sister Molly Wake and is predeceased by her brothers Jack Crowther, Arnold Crowther, Kenneth Crowther and Colin Crowther. Betty is survived by her life long best friend Margaret Munro (Bill). Cremation has taken place. Funeral Service will be held at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Thursday, August 4, 2022 at 1 p.m. in the Funeral Home Chapel. Interment to follow at Tapleytown Cemetery.
