Obituary of Rhoda Aileen Yates

Passed away peacefully, at St. Joseph’s Urgent Care Centre on Wednesday, August 10, 2022 in her 101st year. Beloved wife of the late Gordon (2009) for 70 years. Devoted mother to the late Jim (2018) (Dianne), Ron (Dorothy), Bob (Carolina), Mary Jane, and Dan. She will be deeply missed by her 9 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild. Predeceased by her daughter-in-law Amy. Rhoda is survived by her many brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews in Ontario and Nova Scotia. Rhoda will be remembered for filling her family home with her love of baking and cooking. In the last two years, she mastered using her tablet and using facebook to stay connected with family and friends. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held in Nova Scotia at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to your local SPCA or charity of your choice would be appreciated.
