Obituary of Dianne Marion Bridges

(nee Bone)

June 29, 1948 to October 20, 2022

After an aggressive, extremely courageous battle that created the “Dianne Way!” Surrounded by her children, Dianne was given beautiful angel wings on Thursday, October 20, 2022. Dianne is welcomed in heaven by her parents Gordon Bone (1999) and Marion Bone Nee Corman (2011). Dianne leaves behind but never forgotten her soul mate, best friend and loving husband of 53 years Doug. Cherished and loved with all of our hearts,  mother of Lisa and Sean Smith, Laura and John Elgersman. Proud grandmother of Kyle, Hunter (2002) and Kieran Cushnie, Lunden and Avalee Elgersman. Devoted mother to Steven Bridges and Granddaughter Caitlynn Bridges.

Dianne will be remembered by so many with her kindness, laughter, smile, culinary delights and her gifted crochet projects. Special thanks to the amazing staff at St. Peter’s Palliative Care, Hamilton and Dr. Ayeni for ensuring Dianne’s “quality of life”. Cremation has taken place. Friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek, on Tuesday, October 25th from 1:00-3:00 and 6:30-8:30 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, October 26th at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow in White Chapel Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Peter’s Palliative Care, Hamilton and Canadian Cancer Society. Online condolences and notes of sympathy may be left at www.donaldvbrown.ca
