Obituary of Gordon Vincent Hamilton

Unexpectedly at home after a courageous battle with cancer, Gord passed away on Thursday, October 27th at the age of 68. Beloved husband of 48 years and best friend to Connie. Father of Christine (Mike) and Michael. Papa to Owen and Jacob. Doggie Dad to Ollie. Son-in-law of Gord (1999) and Marion (2011) Bone. Lovingly remembered by the Rhyno Family and Lampman Family.  Gord will be remembered for his hard work and dedication to his job of 36 years at Hostess Frito Lay which he retired from 3 years ago. He was a faithful member of The Church of Our Savior the Redeemer in Stoney Creek. He loved spending as much time as possible with his best bud Owen, watching many of his karate classes. Family was everything to Gord. Special thanks to the Oncology team at Juravinski Hospital for their care of Gord. Also, to the Paramedics, Fire Department and Police for their compassion and efforts.  Cremation has taken place. Family and Friends will be received on Tuesday, November 1st, 6-9 p.m. at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek. A service to remember Gord will be held on Wednesday, November 2, 2022 at 11 a.m. at The Church of Our Savior the Redeemer in Stoney Creek. Reception to follow in the church hall.
