I am sorry to hear of Ralph’s passing. Ralph was a friend and business associate of my parents, Ernst and Luise Wagner, who had a butcher shop in Stoney Creek/Hamilton until 1968 – Wagner’s Week End Meat Market. I met Ralph and his brother Steve twice at their abattoir on Highland Road. I was 16 at the time. They shared with me one of their adventures growing up that involved a spark plug, an exhaust pipe and an old car that spewed flames out of its tail pipe. The way they described it left me with no reason to think it was not true – quite the characters! My father spoke fondly of Ralph and Steve, and the business they created. My parents were also very good friends of Mr. & Mrs. Lehner, Barbara’s parents. We had many visits with them and Freddy.
