Obituary of Dick Koniecki

May 24, 1921 - December 1, 2022.

Peacefully on December 1, 2022, at the glorious age of 101 and 1/2, Dick passed away and was re-united with his beloved wife, Stephanie, who had left us for Heaven in 2011.  Dad is now forever with his Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

Loving father and father-in-law to Barbara (Tom), Elizabeth (Mark) and Paul.

Dick was a dedicated bus driver for HSR until his retirement in 1986.  During his retirement, he was a livery driver for 10 years for Blue Line.

A longtime member of Peoples Church Hamilton, Dick was also the first bus driver for their children’s Sunday school program in 1972.

The family wishes to convey their heartfelt gratitude to the amazing staff at Wentworth Lodge for their loving care of Dad, especially during the trying days of covid.

Friends will be received at Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Thursday, December 8th from 4-8 p.m.  Funeral Service will be in the Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, December 9th at 10 a.m.  Interment to follow at Eastlawn Cemetery.  

In lieu of flowers, donations in Dick’s memory to Peoples Church would be most appreciated.
