Obituary of Ljuban (Louie) Kopac

It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of Louie on January 3, 2023.  He is now reunited with his late wife Donna.  Cherished father of Melanie and Matt Foster.  Loving grandfather of Miles.  Dear son of Sofija and the late Dusan Kopac.  Brother of Bill Kopac and brother-in-law of Mary and Tom Miklavcic and Dan and Helen Hocevar.  Proud Stric to Kevin (Bobbie) and Nadia Miklavcic, Athina and Daniel Hocevar and great uncle to Madison Miklavcic. He will be greatly missed by his aunts, uncles, and cousins in the Madjercic, Crevar and Kopac families. Louie will be sadly missed by his partner Rose MacDonald who he found new happiness and adventure with. He created lifelong friendships with his colleagues and clients at Toromont CAT, those he played hockey with, and his fishing buddies.  Louie was a genuine soul who gave so much and never expected anything in return.  He will be deeply missed by all who met and knew him, leaving a lasting impression on those he crossed paths with.  We would like to express a heartfelt thank you to family and friends throughout this difficult time.  Friends will be received at Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Monday, January 16th from 3 – 7 p.m. with Pomen at 7 p.m.  Funeral Service will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, January 17th at 10 a.m. with The Very Reverend Father Djuro Samac officiating.  Interment to follow at Mountview Gardens Cemetery.  Notes of sympathy and condolence may be made at www.donaldvbrown.ca
