Obituary of Lynne Hone

Peacefully, at St. Peter’s Hospital on February 9th, 2023, in her 74th year.  Lynne will be missed by her lifetime partner John and his sons Cam, Joel and Jay.  Cherished sister of Elaine (2019) and her family Regan, Kyra (Shawn) and Arron (Jacquie); Barb and her husband Kirk; Anthony and his family Eli, Emma and Charlie.  Loving Nana to Riley, Jake, Gabe, Connor, Abby, Ryan, Ethan and Ava.  Lynne will be deeply missed by her best and dearest friend Lillian. Also remembered by her uncles Murray and Larry and his family Brandon and Adam. Lynne revered indigenous culture and was honoured to be named Looking at the Eagle when she was adopted into the Osage Nation by her dear friend John D Red Eagle. She was an active member of St. Alban the Martyr Anglican Church, Hamilton, and in later years St. John the Evangelist Church, Winona. She will be missed by many friends in both Parishes. Proudly, Lynne was installed into the Order of Niagara which honours those who have given of themselves to the parish, diocese and the Church. Lynne selflessly devoted her time to help the less fortunate and connect with those in her community.  Her warm heart was felt and will be remembered by all who knew her. Cremation has taken place and a Funeral Service will be held to honour Lynne’s life at St. John the Evangelist Church, 1285 Hwy #8, Winona on February 18th at 11 a.m.  Send gladioli flowers (Lynne and Dame Edna’s favourite) or donate to your preferred charity in her memory.
