Obituary of Evelyn Mae Stefanson

(née Carrigan)  

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of everyone's favourite tea lady, Evelyn, on April 22, in her 84th year. Beloved wife and best friend of 52 years to Gerry Stefanson (predeceased). Cherished mother to son Ron (Linda) and daughter Connie (Ray). Loving grandmother to Alexis (Steve), Vanessa (Mark) and Jonny. Best friend and grandmother to Avalon (Matthew). Great-grandmother to Eleanor. Best friend and sister to Muriel (George), and Johnny (Bonnie). Loving Aunt to the McAulay and Carrigan boys, partners and broods. Will be dearly missed by many relatives, friends and campers over the years, and RHLI members and friends. Mom (to many) was originally from Westville, Nova Scotia; she enjoyed many years working in both the warehouse and retail floors of Sears, and at Robinson's. Words cannot express our deepest thanks to the earth angels (staff) at Garden City Manor (St. Catharines) and amazing staff of the St. Catharines General; and Donald V. Brown Funeral Home. Celebration of Life to be held  on Saturday, May 6, 2023 at the Barton Street RHLI from 1pm-4pm. . In lieu of flowers, donations to the Salvation Army would be appreciated.
