I well remember the “cooking classes” Janet held for the youth of Fifty United in her Winona kitchen! She introduced us to the joy of baking and to this day it is her “Royal Christmas cake “ recipe that is made in our family! She was a joyful and inspiring presence. Mary Walker ( nee Durfey)

I will write this condolence on behalf of Unit J, Stoney Creek United Church, I am sure all Unit J members have gone before me. Janet was very active in our church ready to help in all activities like organizing the rummage sale, bake sale, Wesley Centre and choir. I will have fond memories of her may she rest in peace. I always enjoyed seeing Miss Janet at family events and at camp. I adored her accent and always wished I could talk like Miss Janet. My memories of her will always be remembered and am so thankful that I had the opportunity to have her in our family. Sending love and hugs to everyone.
