So sad to hear of Maxine's death. I have wonderful memories of her friendship and sharing fun activities during our late teens and early 20s. Afterwards our paths diverged but I would get occasional updates from mutual friends that covered the most important times of her life. Sending sympathy and warm regards to the family.

Dear Mrs. Hamilton, Marilyn, Jackie, and Bill and your families:
I was so shocked to hear of Max’s passing…I have fond memories of Max during our Ranger years, working for my parents on the family farm, and visiting with Max in Thunder Bay, and again visiting with Malcolm and Max when they lived in Moosonee with my family in 1996…also remember going to their wedding in 1985…I also remembered when we coached girls’ softball together and making several trips to the Stoney Creek Dairy…when I moved west for twenty years, we did keep in touch…so sorry again for your loss…I always remembered her St. Patrick’s Day birthday…blessings, Jan (House) Scheidt

We became pen pals in 73/74 met in 77 after my 21st had a great 6 weeks with her. Lost contact with her over the years (getting married etc) and finally we reconnected about 5 years ago, im so glad we reconnected before she died. She was really a great friend to have and will miss our chats over the internet. Hubby came in one day when i was talking to her via the net and thought our phone bill was going to huge, we both laughed at him said it costing nothing My condolences to her family and thinking of them daily

I felt devastated about Max's passing. I'm so sorry Maxine's family and friends. I love Maxine and Malcolm. She is an awesome 3rd Mother to me. Before knowing them, I seen them occasionally at my 1st job. But met her, though Malcolm, when he recruited and trained me on the 2nd job, 2009. Wonderfull they are. Telling me many stories, my rights, jokes and amounts of collections. Maxine knew, I would be like Malcolm. Workaholic. lol She's very understanding.
I went to visit her in Hamilton Nov. 2019. She wanted some help. I gladly accepted. After that, we went to the mall and she treated me some ice cream. Little did she know, I slip in a few $20s for treating me. The day of leaving, we talked for a few hours. I was 6 hours behind to head to Ottawa. I let her talk my ears off. But near the end, she gave me Malcolm's tag. She knew, I love and miss Malcolm as well. I told, "I not give it back to our employer. I'm teasuring this." She agreed.
About to leave, I told her, "I put a few $20s in your purse. Ok bye." We bantered about it. I wanted to treat her more than me. She gave in and I left saying, "I love you, Maxine." Smiling. She replied back. "Love you, Dom."
Still and always love and miss Maxine. I hope you are with Malcolm in heaven. I'll be teasuring memories. Wish I visited you, more often.
