Obituary of Charles Justin Ellis

Passed away peacefully on Monday, October 30, 2023 at the Juravinski Hospital in Hamilton, in his 78th year, following a long illness. Cherished husband of Beverly (nee Huether) for 57 years; loving father to Paul, Dodi (Richard), and Ryan (Bev). Beloved Papa to Matthew (Amanda), Carina and Daniel. Great Grandpa (Papa) to Ava and Parker. Predeceased by his dear parents, Paul & Merna Ellis, his brother, Reginald and brother in law, Warren. Charles leaves behind his brother and dear friend, Ronald (Sandra) and sister, BettyAnne. His brothers in laws, Wayne (Jeannie) and Ray (Sheila), sister in law, Ellen (Larry). Charles was adored and will be missed by numerous nieces and nephews. Charles had a deep love for fishing, racing and antique cars. He leaves behind countless friends, especially Brad, who shared his passions and will be greatly missed. The family would like to thank all the doctors, nurses and support staff at Juravinski Hospital for their dedicated care of Charles. A special thank you to Brianne in the ICU at Juravinski for her kind and compassionate care for Charles and family during his last hours. Brianne will not be forgotten. At Charles' request, cremation has taken place and there will be a Celebration of his life on Sunday, November 26 from 1-4 p.m at the Stoney Creek Legion Branch 622, 12 King Street East. In Memoriam donations may be made to the Diabetes Association.
