Obituary of Reita Mary Hawkey R.N.

HAWKEY, Reita Mary (Bowslaugh) RN At Pine Villa Nursing Home on Thursday March 18, 2010, in her 98th year. Wife of the late Lewis Hawkey (1980). Predeceased by her sister Orpha Shuker and husband Harold and by her brother Ralph Bowslaugh and wife Ruth. Will be sadly missed by her niece Phyllis Lambert (Eugene) and nephews Bill Bowslaugh (Nancy) and Larry (Jan), Ken (Judi) and Lynn (Jan) Shuker and by many great-nephews and great-nieces. Reita graduated as an RN at Hamilton General Hospital, was Head Nurse at the Hamilton General Hospital for several years and was an Alumni of Western University. Friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Monday, March 22, 2010 from 12 noon until the time of Funeral Service at 1 p.m. Interment Queen’s Lawn Cemetery, Grimsby. As an expression of sympathy, donations to a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family. Reita’s family wishes to thank Dr. Ambis and the staff at Pine Villa Nursing Home for their care of and kindness to Reita during her stay with them.
