We are all so sad to hear of George’s passing. It seems like yesterday, and not 50 years, that we all gathered together at Lowville for a picnic or at the Stoney Creek house to ring in a New Year. Not a year or summer goes by without those wonderful times resurging in memories. Sending all our love to you during this difficult time and always.

George was always a kind, calm presence at so many shared family gatherings with the Vandervlist clan over the decades, and a lifelong friend to our parents. He just delighted in his family, and I hope their sadness can be tempered with the kind of good memories we have when we think of him.
