Obituary of Barbara Eleanor Marston

October 16, 1950 - November 8, 2023.

With great sadness but loving memories, we announce the passing of our beautiful Wife, Mother and Grama. Barb passed away peacefully Wednesday, November 8th, at the Dr. Bob Kemp Hospice. Her beloved husband Wayne and family were at her side. Barb was predeceased by her loving parents Blanche Berry and Fred Hlushko. Barb was also predeceased by her former husband Ben Rioux. Cherished mother of Michelle Borelli (Joe) and Connie Lustrinelli (Mark). Barb is remembered lovingly by her Brother John Hlushko (Carol). Barb was a most loving mother to Michelle and Connie and stepmother to Anita Crane (Tim) and Shawn Marston (Sharon). Barb was also a very proud Grama to 9 grandchildren Nino (Sophia), Nicholas, and Anthony Borelli, Alyssia and Luca Lustrinelli, Matthew, Jacob and Daniel Marston, and Hannah Crane.

We will always remember Barb's love of baking, sewing and of course Barb's keen sense of fashion. Another of Barb's great joys was traveling, whether to Cancun, Cuba or on a Cruise. Barb is lovingly remembered by her traveling companion and dearest friend Debbie Ellis.

Barbara spent 37 years as a dedicated Nurse at St. Joseph’s Hospital. For many years she also served as Treasurer of OPSEU Union Local 206. Our wish is that the winds of heaven blow softly and whisper in your ear just how much we love and miss you, and will always wish that you were here.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, November 19th from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m. at Michelangelo's Banquet Hall, 1555 Upper Ottawa St., Hamilton. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Dr. Bob Kemp Hospice would be appreciated.
