Mom, losing you was so much more than losing a mother, you were also my best friend. We spoke multiple times a day, I told you everything - everything. You never judged, you listened, you loved and you supported me. On your last day, our last day, you came over to watch the kids.. something you did so often, but hadn’t in a while. You cooked my absolute favourite childhood meal [spike plugs], you made dessert with the kids, something you all loved to do together. You spent the day with them. Bryan and I came home, we had dinner with you, it was delicious. We laughed, we shared stories.. and the best part, we got to hug you and tell you how much we loved you and then you went home and I got the call shortly after. Our last day was perfect. So perfect it was like someone knew what I needed to survive losing you. Thank you for always being the absolute best mother. You helped us raise our children and because of that, I know they’ll be strong. I love you, till we meet again.
