Obituary of David Andrew Berry
On November 27th, 2023 heaven gained a kind hearted man who was an amazing husband to Rosanna for 36 years, loving father of Quinn (Kimberly) and Josephine. Beloved grandpa of James, Alexander, and Rowyn. Dave was the youngest brother of Lorayne (Late Robert De Mestral), Late Ron (Denise), Mike (Cathie), Ian (Carol) and Barry Fletcher (Olga). Dave was predeceased by his parents William and Naomi Berry. Dave was also a much loved son-in-law of Guiseppina (Late Quinto D’Angelo), brother-in-law to Sera (Doug), Gabe (Tina), and Anna (Kirk), and survived by many nieces and nephews.
Dave was a tell it like it is story teller. His memory is not lost nor will it ever be forgotten-whether it be from him sharing stories to his nephew Jacob about rolling his Camaro in a field, or help Quinn, Josephine, and Kimberly grow in life. We are carrying on a legacy that will always be with us, and we can all say we are proud of who and what we are because of this great man. Dad you are finally at peace now and can enjoy the endless amounts of beer and organizing car races with your brother and father, because we all know Uncle Ron already had a cold one cracked open waiting for you.
We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Dave’s doctors who took excellent care of him over the years: Dr. Bibic, who made house calls while taking care of Dave, Dr. Whitehead, Dr. Boyle and Dr. Mallah at St. Joseph’s Hospital and Dr. Solomon at St. Peter’s Hospital, 3East.
Lastly, we want to thank all of the amazing nurses that took such good care of Dave at both hospitals. Not only did you take care of Dave’s medical needs, you became his friend. Many of you would sit and talk about his love of racing and cars, discuss movies and movie trivia, and there was always some form of sports to discuss. You would also make sure he has his cold beer at his bed side and would warm up his midnight snacks. There are too many of you to mention but you all know who you are and that you all have a special place in Dave and his family’s heart. You are truly angels on earth.
If so desired, donations to St. Peter’s Palliative Care, 3East would be appreciated by the family.
Cremation has take place and there will be a private family service and Celebration of Life at a later date.
