I have so many wonderful memories of spending time with Uncle Steve from pool parties at his & Aunt Alice’s house to his Hungarian baking, from Christmas Eve parties to spending holidays together in Florida & Cuba, to joking about his good luck and being amazed by his talent & energy! He truly was a very special man and he will be missed, rest in peace Uncle Steve

It was a pleasure to spend time with Steve he was a sweetheart. A very talented man I loved his iron work specially the fish he made . He came to my retirement party and gave me a painting of roses that hangs in my living room. He loved his family .RIP buddy

My sincere condolences to Steve’s family and friends for your loss. I was fortunate that for 8 years, my path often crossed with Steve’s when he was the foreman of Steel Construction in Central Shops at Dofasco. I last saw Steve 37 years ago, when I left Central Shops, and yet I still clearly and fondly remember him as always being so kind, pleasant, and a real gentleman. Steve was someone you don’t forget, and who you remember with a smile. Rest in Peace, Steve

Sorry to hear of Steve's passing and sincere condolences to the family. My time goes way back with Steve when he took me in as a 19 year old into his Steel Construction Department at Dofasco. As we moved thru times there, I watched his fairness and his great disposition towards people. Rarely did I see him down. I noticed in the obit regarding his vans, sometimes if you had to find him, and he wasn't in the office, the van was the go to, to find him. He was always getting it ready for a trip, There were many of them. Then was the coffee club dinners from the funds of the office coffee station. We all got together for them. It built a comradery amongst the crew. I watched him leave the shop on his retirement, thought "he's not coming back from this trip". He left it with a good group, that he had built. We definitely had lots of laughs working together for sure. Caught up with Steve a few times after retirement, unfortunately lost touch with him. Oh, by the way, those 3 grey hairs on Steve's right side, was from me, when I was the kid, lol.

There are far too many memories to recount. From the beginning when we were in our teens and twenties, we formed a bond with Steve and Alice that would continue throughout our lifetimes. Steve brought joy and enthusiasm to everything he experienced. Our many travels together were Filled with laughter, the parties , dinners and just get togethers for no reason made our lives richer. Our group of wonderful loving friends ‘The Gang’ , (you know who you are,) all feel a light has been dimmed in our lives . All who met Steve soon realized he was a unique person, and we were so fortunate to have had him for so long. You can not condense 65 years of sharing good times , hard times, and many wonderful times of caring, love and laughter, much laughter. Those memories are in our hearts, where Steve will remain with us . To his much loved family we feel your loss and send our love always. Condolences to Margaret, thinking of you at this difficult time.
