Obituary of Larry James Grant Cunningham

May 8, 1937 - January 6, 2024

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Larry on January 6, 2024 at the Juravinski Hospital in Hamilton at the age of 86.

Larry was the proud and devoted father to sons Brandon and Adam who will forever feel his love.  Cherished brother to Murray, and to Barbara (2007) and her family Barbie (Kirk), Anthony, Lynne (2023), and Elaine (2019).  Larry "The Duke" will also be deeply missed by his dearest and lifelong friends Bob and Arlene Whitley as well their sons Scott (Maureen) and Mark (Margaret).

Larry was a dedicated Teacher and Counsellor for 33 years.  He had many extra-curricular contributions including coaching as well as organizing and participating in special events including theatrical productions often performing his electrifying Elvis imitation to an enthusiastic audience.  Larry also selflessly assisted and connected with those in his community.  His warm heart and kindness was felt and will be remembered by all who knew him.

At Larry's request, cremation has taken place and there will be no funeral services. In lieu of flowers, donations to Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by his family.
