Sending our condolences to Ron's family from the MacDonald's and Werstuck's. Ron was a wonderful person, always having a joke to share and treats in his pocket for the dogs. Michele (niece to Norma MacNeil) + Geoff Werstuck, Greg MacDonald (nephew to Norma)

Ron Carter is as one of the founding members of our Golf Club Rd Community, he was fondly known as “The Mayor” of the road, originally named the Powerline Road. My favourite memory of Mr. Carter, as he was known to me, was his love of birds. When he told me Baltimore Orioles were visiting his backyard bird feeders I was intrigued! He inspired me to feed the birds and shared his tricks to get each kind of bird to visit. The funniest trick as to use raisins to feed the Robins.
To this day I still feed the birds and I have him to thank for inspiring my love of birds.
Each spring as the Baltimore Orioles return to my yard I think of him with gratitude.
