Obituary of Marjorie Dorothy Heaney

Marjorie Dorothy Heaney went to be with her Lord and Saviour on November 25, 2011 at the age of 90. Marj was born April 5, 1921 in Esterhazy, SK to Frank and Bertha Lomenda. She was one of 13 children and quickly learned to appreciate the concept of hard work and cooperation as they continued farming the homestead. She married Richard (Dick) Heaney on July 10, 1943. They were married for almost 36 years until his untimely death at the age of 58. They spent most of their married life in the Hamilton area. Dick was the love of her life and she remained committed to him until her death. The only love that exceeded her love for Dick was her love for Jesus whom she came to know in 1975. She was predeceased by many of her brothers and sisters. Marj is survived by her sons Brian (Sharon) of Moose Jaw, SK, Clifford (Chris) of Hamilton, and Patrick (Meredith) of Vineland as well as many grandchildren, great-grand-children, nieces and nephews. Following cremation a Memorial Service will take place at a date yet to be determined. One of Mom's favourite passages was John 14:6 - "Jesus answered, 'I am the way and the truth and the life.
