Obituary of Joseph Ivan Prsa

Joseph Ivan Prsa, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away on February 29th, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. Born on February 3, 1952, in Zizki, Slovenia, Joe's life journey touched the hearts of many.

Joe shared 51 beautiful years of marriage with his devoted wife, Anna, who stood by his side through thick and thin. Together, they raised a loving family, including their daughters Rose (Justin), Annie (Chris), Josie (Damien), and Donna, who brought immeasurable joy into his life. Joe's legacy also extends to his grandchildren Madison, Olivia, Caiden, Christopher, Asia, Emerson, and Kennedy, who were the light of his life.

A plumber by trade, Joe's skilled hands and compassionate heart had a lasting impact on all he served. His work ethic and integrity were unmatched, earning him respect and admiration from all who knew him.

Joe was preceded in death by his parents, Rozina and Martin, and his brother Steve. He is survived by his brother Zlatko and sister Darinka, who will continue to cherish his memory and carry on his spirit.

A celebration of Joe's life will be held at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home at 36 Lake Ave, Stoney Creek, with visitation on Tuesday, March 5th, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A Mass to honour his life will occur on Wednesday, March 6th, at 10:00 AM at St. Gregory the Great, 125 Centennial Parkway North.

The family wishes to extend their deepest gratitude to the doctors and nurses of Juravinski Hospital for their compassionate care during Joe's illness. A special thank you is reserved for Nurse Donna, whose kindness brought comfort during a challenging time.

In the hearts of those who knew him, Joe's memory will forever remain a beacon of love, strength, and resilience. May he rest in eternal peace, knowing he was deeply cherished and will be profoundly missed.

Donations can be made in place of flowers to Juravinski Hospital or St. Gregory the Great Church.
