Obituary of Donald Donnelly

Peacefully at St. Joseph’s Hospital on March 12, 2024, Donald Donnelly passed away at the age of 80.  Loving husband of Audrey (Leslie) for 55 years and beloved father to Dawn Side (Tyler) and Jason (Tricia). Brother to Ann Salter (Brian), Ronald (Carol), Gerry (Lynne), Peter (Line) and Lyndon and sister-in-laws Audrey and Marilyn.  Predeceased by his parents, Buster and Margaret (St. Onge), brothers Richard (Fern), Myles, Patrick and sister, June Stockbauer.  Brother-in-law to William (Susan) and Mark (Nancy) Leslie. Grandpa to Cassandra Side, Jayden and Wyatt Donnelly.

Our family sends a special thank you to Dr. Kwok, our family doctor and all staff at St Joseph’s and Hamilton General Hospitals for the top notch treatment he received over the years.

Donald started farming with his Dad and later moved to Hamilton to become a transport driver and retired from Petro Canada.  He enjoyed life, camping from coast to coast, playing cards, restoring old Massey Tractors, watching and attending NASCAR Races.

Visitation will take place at Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek, on Saturday, March 23, 2024, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm followed by a service in the Funeral Home Chapel.  In lieu of flowers donations to the Hamilton General Hospital and St. Joseph’s Hospital would be greatly appreciated.
