Obituary of Jeannette Ingham-Godsoe
It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Jeannette Ingham-Godsoe, on Tuesday, April 9th, 2024, surrounded by her loving family.
Jeannette is survived by her life companion, Jeff, and sons Jeffrey (Vanessa), Scott, and Steve (Lindsay). Proud grandmother to Katie, Trevor, Megan, Leah and Nova. Devoted sister to Susan and Michael, and former daughter-in-law to Doreen Ingham. She will also be missed and fondly remembered by her many nieces and nephews. Jeannette is predeceased by her parents Keith and Una deBorde. She was not only an incredible mother and grandmother, but also a wonderful mother-in-law. Jeannette’s upbeat personality was admired by her friends and family; no matter what life dealt, she always kept a positive outlook. She loved to laugh and have fun and will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Jeannette was always passionate about her family; she took great joy in hosting get-togethers and was always supportive in watching her children and grandchildren pursue their goals and interests. She had many hobbies and especially took pride in her garden and her sewing, where she loved nothing more than to make dresses for her grandchildren as well as baby quilts. She had an adventurous spirit and enjoyed travelling to places like Virginia Beach and going on warm weather boat cruises.
Jeannette worked in the Registry Office in Cayuga, Personnel Department for the City of Burlington, and more recently at Taxsavers in Hamilton, where she formed several lifelong friendships.
A special thank you to her family doctor, Dr. R. Ghelani and staff, Dr. R. Tozer and staff at the Juravinski Cancer Centre, Juravinski Hospital, and Bob Kemp Hospice.
Cremation has taken place through Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, and condolences can be made through their site.
A Celebration of Life will follow at the Binbrook Agricultural Society Hall on Sunday, May 26 from 1-4 p.m. 2600 Hwy 56, Binbrook, Ont.
