Obituary of Lyle Arthur Dingman
It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Lyle Arthur Dingman of Stoney Creek, Ontario on June 29, 2024 at the age of 90 years.
He will be loving remembered by his sons Todd and Scott (Katie), and 6 grandchildren: James, Mathew, Katelyn, Francesca, Clinton and Wesley.
Lyle was predeceased by his loving wife of 55 years, Constance “Connie” and parents James “Jim” and Thelma Dingman.
Born on May 3, 1934 in Wheatley, Ontario, he moved to Stoney Creek prior to secondary school and eventually became the “Dreamboat of Saltfleet High School” (Connie’s words, the level of sarcasm was always unclear). Lyle was one of the most outgoing people that has ever lived, a natural salesman who has sold everything from industrial cranes to men’s clothing. Apart from visiting with family and friends and chatting up complete strangers, Lyle’s passions varied from scuba diving and playing trumpet, to photography. Many couples in the Hamilton area have wedding photos shot by Lyle, to our knowledge none of them were shot underwater.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
Dad, you will be missed every single day! Righto
