Obituary of Mary Elizabeth Rogers
With deep sadness, we announce the passing of Mary Elizabeth (Pembleton) Rogers on Wednesday, September 11, 2024 at her home in Ancaster. Beloved wife of David Harry Rogers (deceased) and loving mother to Lee-Ann (Rogers) Lochhead and David Douglas Rogers. Loving mother-in-Law to Scott Lochhead and Barbara Rogers. Adoring grandmother of Matthew, Emily, Cole, and Dylan.
Predeceased by her parents, Norman and Norma Pembelton and parents-in-law John and Mabel Rogers, sisters Lois (Bud) Kells, Marjorie (Harley) Cornish, Barbara Arbuckle, Eva Atkinson, Ruthie Utter, brothers Harry Pembelton, Norman Pembelton, John Pembelton and Charles Pembelton. Mary leaves behind sisters-in-law Liza Pembelton and Carol Pembelton; brothers-in-law Dave Utter and Howard Atkinson and many loved nieces and nephews.
Mary spent many years working at Royal Bank and CIBC as a teller where she was loved by her customers and co-workers. She spent her retired years playing bingo at Six Nations Bingo where she was adored by the staff and her many friends. Mary was a generous and endlessly kind person who would do anything to help the people she loved. In the winter, Mary would stay in Bonita Beach, Florida where she liked to sit on her lanai. Mary leaves behind many close friends/family members including Emmy, Tom, Jack, Jan, Don, Maryann, Cheryl, Marie, Judy, Grayson, Jim, and Ellie.
Our mom told us that “we are too long old”. She believed we should enjoy our lives and stay young. We love you Mom.
