Obituary of Mara Masic

Peacefully with her children by her side, Mara passed away at the Hamilton General Hospital on Friday, November 15, 2024, in her 88th year. Mara is predeceased by her beloved husband Petar, of 53 years. Loving mother of Dusanka and  Jelena Masic  and Jovanka and her husband Milenko  Djokic. Proud and cherished grandmother of Nikolina (Nikolas) Dobrich, Aleksandar (Dara) Djokic, and Zachary Djokic.

Mara was a member of the Serbian Orthodox Cathedral on Nash Road.  She was also a  lifelong Member Kraljica Maria and a  lifelong Member of Serbian Chetniks Sisters in Winona.

Friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek, on Sunday from 4-8 p.m. Pomen at 7:30 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held at St. Nicholas Serbian Orthodox Cathedral, 149 Nash Rd. S., Hamilton, on Monday, November 18, 2024, at 11 a.m., with the Very Reverend Djuro Samac officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Nicholas Serbian Orthodox Cathedral would be appreciated.
