Obituary of Percy Hutchinson
HUTCHINSON, Percy
Went to be with his Lord on Friday, May 7, 2010 just weeks from his 86th birthday. Dad was beloved husband and best friend of Claire (nee Pearson) for over 66 years. He was a loving and caring father to Adele and Dave Rayment, Marie and Don Wettlaufer, Tom and Carol, Bill and Catherine. He was the proud Papa of Phil, Janine, Leslie, Ryan, Corey, Lauren, Paul, Ben, Maya, Emma, Megan, Dan, Mike, Holly, Claire, Eric and Gillian and dear Great-Papa to his 11 great-grandchildren in whom he delighted. A lifelong member of The Salvation Army, Dad was a veteran of the RCAF 431 squadron and shop foreman at Higginson Equipment Sales of Burlington for 35 years. He will be remembered fondly and with great respect by all who had the privilege of meeting and knowing him. The family wishes to express gratitude to Dr. A. Gangji for his wonderful care and support for Dad and the family, the nurses of the St. Joseph’s dialysis unit (King St. and Charlton Ave.) and those of St. Joseph’s nephrology, rehab and CCU units for their support and care. Friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at Salvation Army Mountain Citadel, 835 Stone Church Rd. E, Hamilton, on Tuesday, May 11, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. Interment Mountview Gardens Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to The Salvation Army Mountain Citadel Band or the Kidney Foundation.
