Miss Wilson was my Grade 1 teacher at Highview in 1959-1960. Mr Illman was also one of my teachers and am sorry to learn they both have passed at a relatively young age. My belated condolences to their children and extended family.

Our hearts are broken over the sudden death of our dear friend, Eleanor. What a lovely, Godly lady! We will miss her very kind and beautifully-handwritten notes which were so much like her. She always took the time to write by hand, which is such a long art in today's lifestyle. It was always such a blessing to us when one of her notes arrived in the mail. We will miss her friendship.
To Jim, Graeme, Karen, Tim, Trish and all the precious grandchildren she loved so much...our love, thoughts and prayers are with you. We pray that you will sense the very real presence, comfort and love of the Holy Spirit during these difficult days, and in the weeks and months ahead.
We rejoice with you that we have the assurance that we will see her again, and that she is in the presence of our Precious Lord Jesus Christ. Hallelujah!

To: Jim, Tim,Tricia,Graeme, Karen and beloved grandchildren,
There are two basic truths that have the potential to assist us to grow and blossom through the ages and stages of life. The first is not to postpone life and the second is to sow one's seeds to benefit others. If ever there was a mentor of this wisdom it was Eleanor. She was an outstanding teacher and a respected colleague.
Rabbi Abraham Heschel reminds us : "Just to be is a blessing. Just to live is holy." We thank G-d for the blessing of Eleanor's life and we express gratitude that on this earthly journey our paths were permitted to cross. Blessed Repose and Eternal Memory.

Dear Jim, Tim, Graeme and families, it was a tremendous shock to hear of Eleanor's passing. Our thoughts are with all of you. Our families have shared a history together at Kennisis Lake that surpasses almost all other friendships that any of us have ever had elsewhere in our lives. We will always remember the warmth and kindness Eleanor extended to us, including our most recent visit this summer when we got caught up on each other's lives, and everyone's future prospects seemed so bright. This is such a sad moment, but we will have many happy memories of Eleanor over the past four decades to carry forward. We extend our deepest condolences to all.
