Grandma,
Thank you for being
The special person you are
And thank you for the endless love
That had stretched so far
Thank you for the love and care
That I have truly known
And thank you, for my Mother
Through her, your love was shown
Thank you is not enough
But yet, I say this, quite true
Thank you, most especially
For being my friend and Grandmother too
Love always,
Jennifer

Our sincere condolences go out to the Inglis family, but in particular, Doug who is a dear friend of ours. We met Irene many times at Doug's home and will always remember her to be a loving and caring woman whose happiest moments were when she was with her family.

Your mother as you know... a remarkable lady! I have visions of her and Laura Stuart being reunited and now giving out tourist information in heaven over a pot of tea. I spent many days with two great ladies at the TIC, memories and laughs that will last forever. Irene will be truly missed. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

I found this among Grandma's things this past week and thought I would share it on her behalf:
Miss Me - But Let Me Go
When I come to the end of the road
And the sun has set for me,
I want no rites in a gloom filled room,
Why cry for a soul set free?
Miss me a little - but not too long
And not with your head bowed low,
Remember the love that we once shared
Miss me - but let me go.
For this is a journey that we all must take
And each must go alone.
It's all a part of the Master's plan
I'm set on the road to home.
When you are lonely and sick at heart,
go to the friends we know
And bury your sorrows in doing good deeds,
Miss me - but let me go.
I will love you & miss you Grandma. Always & forever your Granddaughter,
Amber (Inglis)

Irene, you were a grand lady - so gentle and kind - always with a sweet smile. I will always have wondereful memories of your kind and gentle nature - sitting at one of the conference information tables or at the Tourist Information Centre.
