Obituary of Mabel B. (Sturt) Johnson

JOHNSON, Mabel (Mib) B. (Sturt) Peacefully passed away at Idlewyld Manor on Monday, December 27, 2010, in her 94th year. Beloved wife for 57 years of the late Robert (Bob) Johnson. Dear mother of Stephen and his wife Catherine of California and Greg and his wife Patricia of Georgetown. Lovingly remembered by her granddaughters Kristy and Courtney and grandsons Drew and Tucker. Predeceased by her dear sister Kathleen (Kay) Walker (Sturt) and her dear brother Edgar (Twig) Sturt. Fondly remembered by nephews Dr. Dennis Walker and his family of Louisiana, Dr. James Walker and family of Nepean. Mib was past president of the Big Sisters of Hamilton and a recipient of the Hamilton Women of the Year award. Friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Thursday, from 7–9 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Friday, December 31, 2010 at 9 a.m. Cremation to follow.
