Obituary of James Emory Kennedy

KENNEDY, James Emory Passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 5, 2011 at Hamilton General Hospital following complications from surgery, in his 66th year, with his family by his side. Beloved husband of Dianne for 43 years. Dear father of James (Danielle), Tammy, Jeff (Nicki), Mike (Amanda). Loving grandfather of Alexis, Vanessa, Emily and Abby, whom he adored! Dear brother of Ursula (Peter), Eunice (Kevin), Margaret (Pat), Karen (Dave), Bill (Sheila), Irnie (Dianne). Predeceased by his parents John and Margaret Kennedy and his brothers Jackie (Beverly) and Brian (Peggy). Jim was a retired Stelco (Local 1005) employee of 40 years and most recently at Green Horizons. He loved hunting and spending time at his hunting camp. He will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him. Friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Vigil prayers 3:45 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Incarnation of Our Blessed Lord Parish (Nash and Barton), on Saturday, July 9, 2011 at 9 a.m. Cremation to follow.
