To Kim & Family, We are very sorry to hear about your loss of a wonderful son/brother. Our condolences to all of you and our prayers and thoughts are with you during this difficult time.
We little knew that morning that God was going to call your name,
In life we loved you dearly,in death we do the same.
It broke our hearts to lose you, you did not go alone.
For part of us went with you, the day God called you home.
You left us peaceful memories, your love is still our guide,
And though we cannot see you, you are always at our side.
Our family chain is broken, and nothing seems the same,
But as God calls us one by one, the chain will link again.

Dearest Kim,
I just heard of your loss today. Words cannot express my sympathy. My heart breaks for you and your family.
Here is a poem that was given to me when my Dad passsed a few years ago. Our love and prayers are with you.
Don't stand by my grave and weep
For I'm not there, I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow
I am the diamonds glint on snow
I am the sunlight on ripened grain
I am the gentle autumn's rain.
When you awaken in morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circle flight
I am the soft starts that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry.
I am not there. I did not die.

I had the pleasure of grading Martin in his transition from Blue Belt to Brown Belt at McGlashon Martial Arts . Martin was always well composed in class and worked quietly and diligently, a good role model for other students.
Our hearts and prayers are with you. May you find the strength and courage through God , his Angels and each other in this , your time of sorrow.
Rest in Peace, Martin

Dear Family, friends or relatives
When my teacher read the article about your son, friend, cousin had passed away I was really upset.
All I can say is it is very hard to live without a member of your family. And I felt the same way you did when my Nana passed away. All I can say is that I hope you all live your lives safely and you always keep Martin in your heart.

When I first met Martin on September 8th 2009 in Music class at Cardinal Newman, I knew right away that he was a great person to be with and had great potential that he was going to have and did have. Now not even a full semester He passed away on New Year's Eve leaving his friends and most importantly his beloved family. Martin was a great person, he always did what the teacher asked and was one of the top percussion players that Mr. R. Palangio (Music Teacher) ever taught in this semester. His death has caused pain and sadness inside of me that I would have to deal with. I never thought that I woulfd have to say good-bye to a young mature and responsible adult. He left this world peacefully and he left us his memeories and happiness that he brought upon us here at Cardinal Newman. I feel so sad that His family has to go through this especailly on New Year's Eve of 2009-2010. I wish all my happiness to his family and friends and I am praying for his family, friends, and even Martin. God gave Martin a beautifull life and that life was fulfilled while he was still alive. God be with Martin and his family. May Jesus come down to you guys and comfort you while you are mouring, and also may Jesus bring your family and friends to you guys to mourn with you. As Jesus said: Blessed are the Mourning, for they shall be comforted. God bless you and help you guys through this most difficult time of your precious lives.
Be well and healthy for this new year of 2010.

As an insructor at McGlashon Martial Arts, I had the distinct pleasure of teaching many or Martin's classes. A young man who always worked hard, never complained no matter how hard the class. Martin always had a smile on his face and laughed that his instructor had a love of XBOX as well. You will be sadly missed, Martin!

Martin, I can still remember going to school with you since JK. You always knew how to make us smile, and you were always happy, and that's how i will remember you. You're such a good friend and person and this should have never happend to you, but no one said life was fair. I'll always remember the fun memories we had, at the beach, the peach festival, school, and just hanging out. Remember "shake and bake" :) i do and will never forget that little joke we had between us. I miss seeing you at school, but I know that you'll be with us in spirit. I bet you're rocking out on your guitar right now, show them how great you are! I will never forget you and you'll always be in my heart forever, along with your family. I love you martin, friends forever (L)
Love,

Dear Martin,
This all happened so fast. The day before you passed away we were just talking about our religion review. And then suddenly it happened. You did not even finish high school and you didn't accomplish so much. However you accomplished enough for us to remember. You are an amazing karate fighter and in total just AMAZING. When I found out you died I was crying non-stop. Why would God take a young soul from earth, I asked. Well I found out, that cannot be answered because we do not know. Maybe because everything happens for a reason? Maybe he took you peacefully because if you lived on your future would have been pain? Your family should not mourn your death too long but rather celebrate your life, no matter how long or short. When I saw your body, it looked as if you were sleeping and relaxed. I thought you would wake up and look at me but , I realized you will not wake until the coming of Christ, I will wait until then so I can see you and rejoice with you. As they say, 3 days of wandering, then partial judgement, then laid to rest, then you shall rise, then come your Final Judgement. Martin, you will live forever in peace. You will live in our hearts forever. I keep thinking of our song Kiss Kiss by Chris Brown and Makes Me Wonder by Maroon 5. And airbands in 2009 in grade 7 with Mrs. Laskowski. Good times my friend. I will miss you dearly.
My condolences to the Nguyen family, your son was a blessing,
Kosta Zafiridis

When I heard Martin died, I automatically thought it was a joke. I mean, he's just 14. I had seen him in class days ago. It couldn't be real. But I soon realized that it was no joke, and that he really was gone. I didn't know what to say at first. Martin was just the kind of guy you could never imagine dying. He loved music and was always playing around with his friends. He was a nice kid that you could have a conversation with. Martin was always there. You got used to Martin just always being there, hanging with his friends, saying jokes. And then, suddenly, he wasn't there. He isn't at school joking around. And now I, and I'm sure many other people, have noticed this huge gap without him. It just isn't the same without Martin. But I know wherever he is, he's at peace and happy. And because he loves it, probably rocking out on the guitar. You'll be missed Martin, you truly will.
P.S. If you see him, Martin, tell John Lennon I said hi :)
