Every Sunday after church Conrad would come to the Black Forest for lunch.His table always waiting for him and so was I. He introduced me to his love of Ham Radio, so I visited his site and saw things I never would have if it wasn't for our talks.
We talked about everything from the care of his wife,politic's,his dreams and even his illness. We laughed alot and cried too.
I shed some tears for a wonderful man who loved his family and friends, a man who still looked after his wife's care, a man who just wanted to live a normal life with new friends and companions.
I saw a new bright star in the sky, I named it Conrad. I won't say goodbye, instead I look up everyday and say "good morning Conrad" and at the end of the day "good night Conrad"
We will all miss him at The Black Forest Inn. He was part of the "family" for many years.
