Dear Carol, Larry, Terri-Lynne, Carrie, Michelle and Families,
Gerry was a very special person to so many. That was obvious from the funeral and from the sentiments that so many people have shared. He made a difference wherever he went
You also made a difference for him, particularly the last few months. As a family you supported him through his illness and you have supported each other. You spent so much time as a family and did so many things together that added to the many, many warm memories you already had. In time these memories will help ease some of the sadness and emptiness you feel. We share those feelings. We treasure the memories we have of so many wonderful holidays, family gatherings and visits. Gerry was so much more than a brother-in-law and special uncle. He was very, very good friend and rock for all of us. He just always knew and was more than willing to help. His laugh, his jokes, his thought provoking discussions, just for the sake of the discussion,...all of these things we so enjoyed will be missed.
We loved Gerry deeply and not a day goes by that we do not think of him. Our thoughts and prayers go out to each of you because we know that what we are feeling is ony a small part of what you are feeling. Hang onto those memories. There are so many wonderful ones.
Love Bill and Faye

My condolences to you all. My thoughts are with you.
From my childhood I remember a man with a good sense of humour, a generosity of heart and an intuitive understanding and patience for the young. We always felt welcome at the Timms' and I'm pretty sure that's where our parents would often find us.

Mrs. Timms, Michelle, Terri-Lynn, Carrie and Larry
I just wanted to extend my deepest sympathy to you all during this time. I have such fond memories of Mr. Timms throughout my entire childhood. He was always welcoming to me and treated me like one of his own kids. He never got angry when I ........spilled perfume on the table, broke the thermostat box, or called every day at 5:00pm as you all sat down to dinner.
It was quite evident at the funeral that he was so well liked and respected by family, friends and the community. Those who never knew him, sure missed out. I don't think that there was a dry eye there and it truly was a 'Celebration of his Life'.
It is important to note that someone who has been loved as much as he was is never lost as he will live on in your hearts forever.
With loving sympathy,
Kim

Uncle Gerry holds a special place in our hearts, as only an uncle and GREAT uncle could. "The Ice Cream Man" has left his mark upon us and having him in our lives makes you appreciate and understand what respect, generosity and hard work truly means; but also how important it is to enjoy your family. Uncle Gerry's passing saddens us greatly but knowing that he is at peace and is enjoying all the comfort and rest he deserves will help us to remember him with smiles and laughter.
Aunt Carol, Larry, Terri-Lynne, Carrie, Michelle and families, we wish you our condolences, prayers and love; and may knowing that time will ease the pain but deepen the memories bring you much peace and joy as you continue on life's journey here on earth until you are united again with your husband, father and grandfather.

I believe one of the ways we live on is in the memory of those we touch in life. My memories of Gerry will be such a warm easy to talk to man with an amazing warm smile as he bantered with you in the library. The love ,the caring that was so obvious between the two of you was so special.( And of course the Timmies cups he held in his hands as he came in the door) Gerry will live on in the hearts of all whose lives he touched You and your family are in my heart my prayers and my thoughts.

To: Terry, Terri-Lynne, Sarah and Alex, and the rest of the Timms family.
We were deeply saddened to hear of your loss of your dad/grandpa. I have fond memories of your parents Terri-Lynne, as we sat in the stands at many sports arenas watching our kids play various sports. Most vividly is our time in Saginaw, MI at the Can-Amera Games with Jessica and Sarah playing ball. No doubt, your girls are blessed with very proud Grandparents. I believe your dad will continue to cheer them on in spirit and through your mom, Carolyne as she gathers her strength to get through this difficult time. Godspeed Carolyne. ALL of you are in our thoughts and prayers.
