My mother, Halina ( 1924 - 2008 ), shared the same history of Siberia, training in the Middle East, and driving those Italian roads carrying supplies to the front lines. They were not members of the same platoon of ten, but since there were about eighty ladies in that company - they might have known each other either in Italy, England, and Hamilton. Lastly, a moment a memories of her husband who was a frequent visitor to our house in the 1960 and 1970's with his large reel-to-reel tape recorder borrowing our music from the stereoplayer cabinet; or later during my university summer employment as he was known as a master brick mason. Sadly, all that is left of our parents' generation are the memories. Richard Czerechowicz.
