Obituary of Regina Siezieniewski

My beautiful mother Regina, died suddenly, Tuesday, April 30, 2015. Surviving are Elizabeth and Tom Chapple and her beloved grandson David. She was predeceased by her husband Longin (1982) and her grandson Cameron (2002). Regina had a long and interesting life. She and her family were taken to Siberia by the Russians where she spent several years. Once released she lied about her age in order to join the Allied Forces. She travelled through Iran, Egypt and Italy with the army where she drove a truck through some very treacherous conditions. After the war she relocated to England then she and my father chose Canada as a permanent home. She was a proud Canadian. We will miss her. Friends will be received at Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Tuesday, May 5, 2015 from 1 p.m. until the time of the service in the Funeral Home Chapel at 3 p.m. Cremation to follow.
