I was saddened to read about the passing of Peggy. I doubt that you will have heard of my name. She and I played accordion from the same teacher, Helen ?, when we were about 8 or 9 or 10. We played a duet, Capriccio Italien by Tchaikovsky, at one of the Waterloo Music Festivals and we won the Gold Medals. I think we giggled or smiled our way through it - it was beautiful and we obviously did it properly. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dqrkS8mFYYQ We just played the melody part but did it after weeks of practicing at each others homes until our fingers were sore. I still smile and think of Peggy when I hear the music or thumb through my old keepsake paperwork. I have never forgotten how we smiled at each other most of the way through and at the end. It was a real step up for us. I used to live on East 12th while Peggy was on Upper Wellington. Goodbye, Peggy. Hope you can hear our laughter and music. My sympathies to you - the family.
