Obituary of Margaret Jane Knill

KNILL, Margaret (“Peggy”) Jane (nee McVittie) – November 12, 1944 – September 19, 2014 It is with heavy hearts that the family of Peggy Knill announce her sudden passing on Friday at the Hamilton General Hospital. Beloved wife of George Knill for nearly 34 years. Proud and loving mother to Nicole Bakti and Melissa Mason (Jeff). Cherished aunt of Paula Penton and Marcia Cooper (James). Predeceased by her parents Andrew and Margaret (Marg) McVittie, sisters Elizabeth (Betty) Penton, Mary Louise Pierson, and niece Margita Pierson. Peggy also leaves behind many close friends and family members. Friends and family will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek, on Wednesday, September 24, 2014 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday at 1 p.m. at Stoney Creek United Church, 1 King Street West, Stoney Creek. Cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Myotonic Dystrophy Foundation or the Doctor Bob Kemp Hospice would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
