Hello Aunt Sharon and April. My parents informed me of Uncle Charlie's passing a week or so ago, and I just received the obituary in the mail that my mom sent me. I'm not one for hand-written notes these days of electronic gadgets, and facebook certainly didn't seem like the appropriate context to express our condolences. We are very sorry for your loss, especially at this time of year. My guess is that Christmas will likely never be the same from here on in as you remember the anniversary of his funeral every year. A loss of a loved one is always a tragedy, but Christmas has a way of magnifying the grief when it happens in December. Know that you both will be in our thoughts and prayers as you continue to grieve and remember Uncle Charlie's life. I hope that your friends and church family will provide a strong support for you in these weeks and months moving forward. Sincerely, Phil Spoelstra and family

Sharon and Family
God opened up the Heavens and reached down with His Hand.
He took your Precious Loved One to a much more Brighter Land.
Where the sun is alwans shining.
No one sheds a tear.
We know your Precious Loved one will be at Peace up there.
My thoughts are with you and yours.

I worked with Charlie for many years in the rough tough trucking industry, but Charlie was neither of these. He was a kind and gentle man, who never said an unkind word about anyone. Charlie will be dearly missed by all that knew him.
Sincerely, Reuben Somerton and Family

For my Brother, Chas
Gone from us, but not too far
Just beyond the evening star
Above the clouds he now calls home
He's gone ahead, but not alone
Loved ones waiting, take his hand
And smile because they understand
That Heaven's highway lead the way
Into this new and brighter day
No earthly worries, cares or woes
No adversaries, opponents, foes
Now basking in the greatest love
Bestowed on him by God above
His name was called, unto the Throne
Finally he's made it home
And now he waits, our time to come
We all will join him, one by one
Until that time, he's in your heart
You're really not so far apart
For memories he left behind
Remind you of the happy times
Give thanks for them, for truth be told
They're worth more than money, more than gold
That is the gift he left to you
So cherish them, they'll see you through
Yes, there'll be times you still shed tears
You'll shed a few throughout the years
There will also be those times you smile
When you think about him for a while
He wouldn't want to see you cry
He knows we'll see him by and by
So carry on, though hard to do
Wrapped in the love he's given you
Then when it's time, he'll take your hand
And smile, because he understands
love forever and always, kmart <3
