It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Charles Allingham, at the Juravinski Hospital, on Tuesday, December 3, 2013. Loving and committed husband of Sharon and devoted father of April. Predeceased by his parents Lawrence and Winnifred and his brother Glenn. Survived by brothers Arthur (Francine), Neil (Glenna) and Steve. Cherished brother-in-law to Paul Folsom , Marilyn Craig, Wesley Folsom (Gabrielle) , Karen Anderson (David), Kim Bakos (Frank), Susan Allingham and many nieces and nephews. He was also predeceased by his father and mother-in-law, Vaughan Folsom (Betty) and Pauline Ammerman (Edgar) as well as sisters-in-law Virginia and Charmaine, brother-in-law John and sisters-in-law Linda and Alice. Charles was a caring, hardworking, honourable, humble, kind, peaceful, quiet, sacrificial, thoughtful, and witty man. He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He is now on heaven’s highway “King of the Road” Friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek, on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The interment service will be held at Mountview Gardens, Highway 8, East of Fruitland Rd., Stoney Creek, on Monday, December 9 at 9:30 a.m., followed by a Celebration of Charles Life at West Highland Baptist Church, 1605 Garth St., Hamilton, at 11 a.m. As an expression of sympathy donations to West Highland Baptist Church would be appreciated by the family.
