Dear John, Carol and family We were deeply saddened to hear about the passing of your dad, Marko and share in your sorrow. I first got to know him when my mother was at Villa Slovenia in the early nineties and he was the president of the St. Joseph Society. It was through his influence and encouragement that I became involved with the Villa and the Drustvo. He became a great friend and always had suggestions and ideas that we shared. He was a kind and true gentleman. He made a great contribution to the Slovenian community through his involvement in the parish church and hall activities, and the St. Joseph Society Board as president. Carol and John, I know how wonderful you were to both your mom and dad particularly when they needed you most. They are now united once again with our Lord,and at peace. We know that you have fond memories of them and they will be in your hearts forever. With our love and prayers. Ljerka & Jerry Ponikvar P.S. I just came out of the hospital after having gall bladder surgery and regret that I won't be able to be at the wake nor the funeral.
